Reality: These popular diets typically help you loss weight quickly. However, loosing weight quickly is not the healthiest and most effective way to do it. For one thing, fad diets are usually hard to follow for a long period of time. Because of this, most people lose interest in them and regain any weight they lost. For another thing, fad diets tend to not be a very healthy way to loose weight. Many of them do not provide all the nutrients your body needs. Also, loosing weight too quickly is not healthy. It took a long time to put on that weight and it should take a long time to take it off. Research suggests that losing 1 to 2 pounds a week by eating healthy and exercising daily is the best way to lose weight and keep it off.
